Big Five, Little Five
Africa’s Big Five are the elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion and leopard, as these are considered to be the most dangerous to hunt. There is now a Big Seven that includes Cheetah and African Wild Dog and a more correct term of Big Six that is the original five but includes black and white rhino.
The Little Five is heard of less and consist of five small animals with the names of the big five. They are the elephant shrew, buffalo weaver, rhinoceros beetle, ant lion and leopard tortoise. This is a series of drawings that brings them together with their larger namesakes.
Hopefully these drawings will inspire you to make that trip you have always dreamed of! Get onto Fly.com (http://www.fly.com/uk/) , Expedia or Orbit and book that flight to a country in Africa where you can see the Big Seven in real life. If you have been lucky enough to experience this already, these drawings might bring back some nice memories for you.
I WILL BE AWAY ON FIELDWORK UNTIL OCTOBER SO UNFORTUNATELY NO DELIVERIES CAN BE MADE UNTIL THEN. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESERVE A PAINTING.
