  • Elephants are highly social creatures. Related females and young usually form groups of 2-10, and the males (from the age of about 15) live in loosely bonded groups. The trunk of the elephant contains 6 pairs of muscles, divided into over 100 000 units! These two were testing their strength and paying with the rest of the group in the water at Karongwe Game Reserve, South Africa.
